Presentation at the NCCR Co-Me Closing Event
Dr. Esra Neufeld represented the IT’IS Foundation and Zurich MedTech AG (ZMT) at the Closing Event of the National Center of Competence in Research "Computer Aided and Image Guided Medical Interventions" (NCCR Co-Me), which formally ends June 30th, 2013. The mission of the NCCR Co-Me, established in 2001 by the Swiss National Science Foundation, has been to foster engineering, medical, and biological research towards improved medical imaging guidance and surgical navigation through information technologies. The goal of the Closing Event, which took place Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the ETH Zurich, was to summarize the results and achievements of the past 12 years of work within the NCCR Co-Me network.
At a session on the Co-Me start-up companies, Dr. Neufeld delivered a "speed presentation" about ZMT, a spin off company of CO-ME, the ETH Zurich, and the IT’IS Foundation, whose mission is to empower medicine and the medical technology community with computational simulation tools and dedicated evaluation and test systems.
